Dwain and family; So sorry to hear about your mom. Many great times we had with Barb and Gary. Will always treasure those memories. Your mom and dad were always talking about their grand child. Remember once Gary was having problems with his computer. He asked me to look at it. I did and said Gary you have about a thousand photo’s of your grand child on here. We all laughed. Great memories of Roxy and Stu also. The best to you all

Dwain & Andrea, Roxie & Stu, Connie & Tom & families …
I have many fond memories of Barb.
I recall when I first met her while holidaying at my Aunt Florence & Uncle Clifford’s home at 113 Perth Street in Stratford. My cousin Garry had just started dating Barb & I remember him walking her home around the block to 83 Norfolk St. They were so in love & made the cutest couple. I enjoyed attending their summer wedding (July 3rd 1964) when both Garry’s sisters Roxie ( bridesmaid) & Connie (flowergirl) were in the wedding party.
Of course the next happy event for Barb & Garry was when they welcomed their special baby son – Dwain. They were wonderful parents to him as he well knows. Then a few years later, Barb was so happy to be Mother of the Groom at Dwain & Andrea’s wedding. Of course she was over-joyed to become a Grandma to Dwain & Andrea’s daughter-Dan & shared many special family events with them.
I recall sharing many happy chats with Barb whenever we saw each other especially at the Davidson Family Christmas Dinners & Summer Reunions.
Unfortunately life isn’t always about sharing happy times.
Sadly Garry’s life was cut short in 2006 so Barb had to start a new chapter living alone without her Best Friend.
I hadn’t seen Barb since before the Covid Virus forced us all to stop visiting people so I’m sure Barb must have been very lonesome during these last couple of years. Thank goodness Barb was blessed with a wonderful sister-in-law Roxie Baker (Osborn) who with her husband Stu, visited her as often as possible. Barb certainly had her share of health problems after Garry’s death but she tried to stay positive & was so happy whenever family & friends visited her or called her on the phone. Since Dwain lived a distance away, Roxie & Stu supported Barb though these challenging days & took her to many medical appointments in Stratford & London.
Bless you both for all the love & care you provided for her.
I appreciated viewing the photos posted on this web-site as it was like a stroll down memory lane. Life is so short that we never really miss that person until they pass away & we realize we will never see or talk to Barb again. Like many others I will miss Barb’s nice smile & happy disposition.
Hopefully if we are lucky we will meet her & our other loved ones again in Heaven some day
To all who loved her I extend my sincerest sympathy.
Carolanne Doig
To all Barb’s family members and many friends my sincere sympathy. Barb was a lovely person and I remember her living just around the corner from our place. She was a very hard worker and always had a smile and that husky laugh. Dwain and Andrea and everyone, I am so sorry for your loss.

Our sincere sympathy is extended to everyone at this time. We have many, many memories of times spent with Barb. We remember meeting her at our wedding day when Garry brought her as a guest. when she was only 16. Her birthday was the same date as our wedding day. We had many visits back and forth together with Garry and Barb over the years. We had many laughs and good times together. They were always special guests as we celebrated special milestones through the years. We enjoyed our visits together with Barb, in recent years. She will be missed!

Dwain…It is great to have opportunity to correspond with you yet, with heavy heart given the passing of your mom. I’m sorry you lost her, a great lady.
I remember trips to baseball games in the yellow banana (I think this was a two door 1976 chev impala) and yahtzee at the trailer in Ben Miller. I remember french fries in your kitchen and I remember Barb giving me hell for squealing the tires around your corner when I was a teen-ager.
I see there is a private memorial service and so, I hope you and your family are able to grieve in a healthy way and remember the strong, confident and well meaning woman I know she always was.
You are often in my thoughts (do you remember in about grade 2… we were going to be long-haul truck drivers together?) and I send love to you from Orillia.
