Patti lovecky(Robinson)
Dear Marlene, Ron, Elaine, Pauline, and Marty,
When I think of of your dad, I remember him as being quiet, with the greatest smile, and being so tall, dark and handsome!
It has been years since I have seen him, but so many wonderful memories come back about our years of growing up together, in Centralia as I look through all the great pics that you have posted.
Shari and I actually drove thru Centralia when I was home a few weeks ago, and we sat in front of your house and reminisced about so many fun things from our dances in the basement to the times we spent in the little playhouse in the backyard.
Your dad was a kind and gentle man and I will keep you all in my prayers as you struggle with this loss. God bless.
Shari Robinson
So many memories. Patti and I just visited Centralia and talked about all the fun we had in the village. My Dad was always working in the store so it was Vic who took us kids to a movie or skating in Exeter every Saturday.. I remember the huge skating rinks he made for us in the backyard and those times he drove Marlene half way to Keswick so we could visit. I enjoyed looking through all the pictures, what a legacy he leaves with such a beautiful family.

There was a father who was quiet by nature, who went about his life in his humble ways. Gentle and kind to all who knew him. But strong in convictions, with just one look could quiet a dining room table. He had a great sense of humour and loved to tell jokes, rubbed a dime into his arm every time we saw him. Former work mates said it was a honour to work with him, respected & loved him like extended family. We didn’t chat on a regular basis, he and l. He just wasn’t the ‘chatty’ kind. But, he was always there for us whenever we needed him, no questions asked; to love and support in his own way. Today we lay to rest this quiet little giant of a man. Who was loved by many and will be dearly missed by us all. I love you Dad. God Speed

Dear Marty, Marlene and families,
My condolences to you on the loss of your father, Vic. I meet him early in my career with Ellis Don, and he encouraged me in those early days, I think partly intrigued that I was from his local area. He was an early pioneer for Ellis Don; being sent out to far regions, to run some of their biggest projects, and it was on his success’s, that that company would grow and expand to take on the largest & most complicated projects anywhere. I remember Don Smith talking highly of your father, and appreciative of his courage and tenacity in those early days. Today I’ll go out and stand in the middle this $600 million project I’m managing in downtown Halifax; I’ll take off my hat, look around, and say “Thank you Mr. Overholt for paving the way, and setting the standard for us younger guys”
Sincerely
Brad Gregus
