Just passed St. James Cemetary & saw all the cars & hoped it would not be someone I knew. Sure enough it was , & can remember going to Bob & Helen’s yard sales that they had when they lived on main St. They were a lovely couple & will be missed very much! It makes me sad to know that they are both. gone now but know that they are happy in heaven together!

I am sorry to hear of your Dad’s passing on one hand and on the other hand, I am sure he is happy to be dancing with your mom and their other friends for a Dance Night like the old days. Your parents were life-long friends of our parents, going on holidays together, dancing together, shopping trips, and socializing with their friends and their church.
No doubt you will all miss him, his friendly smile and his stories, take comfort that he is with your Mom, he has gone home to her and he has left you with so

Sending my condolences to my Patterson cousins. Remembering many visits to Park Hill when the Humphrey and Pattersons would gather for family events. Uncle Bob was a treasure trove of family information. In later years, I and my Dad Richard would travel up to the Port Huron campground where Bob and Helen would be our hosts under the awning of their RV. Aunt Helen would have a wonderful selection of all the fixings for Sandwiches, potatoe salad, pickles and desert. Then, again afterwards reminiscent memories. Rest well Uncle Bob.

Mr. Patterson was the first to welcome me to Lucan United Church. If he saw me on the street he asked how I was doing and if things where going well since our move. We never really knew each other but my day was brighter if I met him on the street, at church or at any community function because he always had a smile and a “Hello” for me. I’m sure this isn’t the only story like this but just wanted to share and offer my sympathy
