Peacefully with his girls at his side at LHSC-University Hospital on Thursday, February 21, 2019 of Lucan at the age of 71. Beloved husband of Karen (Rock) Peters for 41 years. Loving father of Kendra and Jamie Dick of Mitchell, and Noralee Peters of Calgary. Adored papa of Kyleigh and Spencer Dick. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Diane Osborn of Listowel, Dan and Loretta Young of Gananoque, Sally and Pat Alarie of Odessa, Debbie and Shorty Vallier of White Lake, Dale Young and Norma Knox of Odessa, Marlene and Daryl Geran of Yarker and Lisa and Mark McClelland of Odessa. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and foster families.
Predeceased by his foster parents Milton and Nora Lasher, legal guardians Gordon and Marion Offord, mother and father-in-law Irvin and Della Rock and brothers-in-law Paul Rock, Don Brown, and Ross Osborn.
Ron owned and operated Ron Peters Auto Centre for over 20 years. As a salesperson, he sold food products, printing equipment and supplies, and finally followed his passion selling automobiles even after he retired. The family would like to thank all who were so involved with Ron’s care and specifically the entire LHSC-Renal Program.
Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, LUCAN on Sunday, February 24th from 6-9 PM, where the funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 AM with Pastor Bryon Hand and Rev. Alvin Lasher officiating. Cremation with spring interment McKillop Evangelical Cemetery.
