I knew Danny since we were kids and even deliver paper to his mom and dad for years. Danny had such a sense of humour, we use to go to Morrison damn, and have fun swimming and partying with all the crew from that time. Deepest sadness for Dan’s family Dan will be playing his heart out up above…

I played with Danny as a child and have never forgotten him. He left a very big impression on me. Even as youngster Danny had big dreams he shared with me while sitting in the stands at the old fairgrounds. He wanted to always live life to the fullest. My heart cries today for the free spirit he was.

Penny, Randy, Brenda, and Family,
Hard to find words for such a sudden unexpected loss. We’ve had some great times with Bud, Alma and Dan. They all hold a special place in our hearts.
Bud used to book the back nine at Exeter Golf course on Sundays for us. First players on the course in the morning. Just the 2 of us looking for our lost golf balls.
We use to golf around Toronto as well and sometimes went fishing on the Island and Penguin Lake. I like to think he’s fishing and golfing with Bud during the days and jamming with all the great Rock Stars in the evenings and smiling from ear to ear.
I’m going to miss you Brother,
Leon

Randy & Brenda , Penny, Jeff, Joel and Becky (I will call you Becky because that is how your uncle Dan referred to you). I am utterly heartbroken about losing Danny. My deepest heartfelt sympathies go out to all of you. Dan and I go back almost as far as my memories can take me. We started playing hockey together when we were 8 or 9 years old and were friends from that point forward. Can’t tell you how many miles I traveled in Buds big green car with Danny at the wheel before I even had my drivers licence. The amount of times I was at your mom and dads and how they always treated me like family will never be forgotten. I absolutely loved your parents. I cannot separate Dan from my youth as they are synonymous. He was my rythym brother, my beat brother we literally played thousands of songs together on stages from Ontario to BC and traveled thousands upon thousands of miles together. When we were playing together we were joined at the hip. I lost a bit of myself with Dan’s passing, that cannot be replaced. He was there every time, to my right, from my drum kit, always there……. for all those years. You can all rest assured that you meant the world to Dan. Penny he loved you deeply, I know that without question. Randy you were his hero, I hope you know that!! Those are things that I know, from spending so much time with Dan , but knowing Dan, he may not have shared with you. I pray for peace and healing for the entire family through this.
God Bless
Murray, Dena, Tyler, Dillon and Jesse Heywood

What the??!! I had no idea he wasn’t well. This is such terrible news I am literally shakin by it. I’m so sorry for his family’s heartbreak. Although we were not the best of friends I had a ton of respect for Danny. We shared a stage and his amp once and he firmly yet respectfully informed me it was proper to ask permission for such things. I was a newbie and have never forgotten that lesson. He will be missed by so many people who enjoyed the music as well. Many condolences to all.
R.I.P. Hack. Thanks for the memories.

My deepest condolences to the Preszcator family. I played in The Chickens & UIC band with Danny and we shared many good memories together. I remember our talks in the car on the way to shows in London – Dan was a sweet man. He was a kind gentle-hearted man who loved his animals. I remember him cutting up one of those plastic beer can 6-pack holders because he couldn’t bear the idea of some bird being strangled by it. We will all miss him very much, but he is well remembered in the various music projects he was involved in. RIP Hack!
