Helen was a gentle and gracious woman who welcomed me into the family many years ago when I found out that my mother Norma gave birth to us twins. You can leave that up to her, and perhaps this is so it should be.
I did contact Ken some years ago in Connecticut. Please send currant information.

My condolences to all of you during this difficult time. I will forever hold dear to my heart the memories of practicality “growing up” on your farm. Playing in the creek, riding Tammy and Queenie, sleep overs, playing in the hay mow (where I found my best pet Kooie). I loved spending my time there with all of you, and considered you my “second family”.
I was honoured to be able to tend to her and be emotionally supportive to all of you during her lengthy stay with us at Stratford hospital.
May she Rest In Peace, reunited with your dear father.
Love you all

To Helen’s Family,
I work at the Ritz and unfortunately did not get know how Helen came to be the person she was, as I had just met her when she moved in. I was so happy to see the lovely pictures of her life and get to know how family, horses, friends and gatherings made her who she was. I am deeply sorry for your loss and hope these wonderful memories you have through pictures and tucked in your hearts will help you with your grief. Karen Templeman

Dear Wayne, Barb, Steve, Bev, Murray, Donna & Families …
It is with a saddened heart that I am sending my sincerest sympathy to all of you on the loss of your dear and beautiful mother, Helen. She was a kind, sincere, hard-working, remarkable woman who along with your Dad, Wilmer raised a wonderful family. I have so many great memories of both your parents from the days of horse shows, trail rides and rodeos. Thinking of all of you and remembering the fun times our families had together back then. I enjoyed meeting up with your Mom in Exeter either at the bank, coffee shop or grocery store – she always loved to chat and ask how our family was doing.
May your cherished memories put a smile on your face and comfort you through these difficult days ahead. It is always hard to see our once lively parents age and eventually leave this world behind – but know they are reunited in Heaven forever. May the loving memories you have of your parents live on – in your hearts forever and help you through the difficult days ahead. “Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; Love leaves a memory no one can steal.” You have so many wonderful family, friends, neighbours and community – supporting you.
May God keep you in his loving arms, as you grieve and celebrate Helen’s life. She is now resting in the arms of the angels and may her journey to the next life be as great as she was on earth and I will always remember her and the good times from the past.
So sorry for your loss – HUGS to all!
Sincerely,
Brenda (Parsons) Martene
