We are so sorry for your great loss. Shirley sure has a special, warm place in our hearts. She was such a giving person. We have a large wool blanket she crocheted for us after a surgery. It was and still is a sweet comfort and every time we’re wrapped in it we think of Shirley and her kindness. It seemed she was always crocheting something for someone special to give to cheer them up. What a blessing she was and an inspiration to the ladies of Pinery Baptist Church. She sure did inspire us in our knitting club. She was always ready to help anywhere she could. She was a generous lady. I know she’ll be enjoying her reward now. Bless you all!
Gordon and Bernice Gross, Auburn ON

Dear Elaine, Brenda and Barbara;
Please accept my deepest sympathy. I did not know your mom, although I had met her twice in the past couple of years. I know how much each of you cared in different ways for her. I know you worried about her welfare and her health and what she was up to. I know you will miss her. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you and the rest of the legacy she has left. Her many number of grandchildren, great and great, great grandchildren will keep her memory alive. God bless.

Elaine,Bob and families,
We will miss Shirley and her big wave and she drove by,probably to bingo….Such an elegant woman and so happy when surrounded by her children. Always admired her pluckiness and independance. We used to laugh every time she would see Rick in the back yard and call out, “Richard, can you help me.”
Our sympathies are with you all.

I met Shirley as her pastor in 2011, and it was a pleasure to briefly know this gentle and sincere woman. After three years without seeing her, it was an honour to be called to her bedside and talk about the things of Christ and pray together. She loved her family dearly. May they all find comfort and hope in believing as Shirley did.
