It is with great sadness, we share the passing of John on Sunday, May 16, 2021, of Lucan, formerly of Blyth at the age of 89. Beloved husband of the late Alinê (Chatelâin) Quinn (2020) for over 67 years. Proud father of Maureen and Chris Mouritzen, Patrick and Xandra Quinn, Frank and Maureen Quinn, Denise and Sam Horrocks and Greg and Debbie Quinn, and the late Christine (Quinn) Foster. Cherished grandpa of Tish, Spiro, Karrie, Jessica, the late Joanna, Jonathan, Christian, Michael, and Katie; and great-grandpa of Olivia, Colin, and Nora. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Shirley and Carl Cantelon, Michael and Bev Quinn. Jack will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Katherine (Readman) Quinn, sisters, Betty and Yvonne.
Jack was very devoted to his Catholic faith. For many years, he was active in the Knights of Columbus, always willing to volunteer his time. He was a very enthusiastic fisherman, and always enjoyed tending to his gardens. After a short time apart, we are thankful mom and dad are experiencing a reunion filled with love in Heaven.
Keeping with Jack’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private Memorial Mass will be held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Lucan a later date. Interment St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery, Lucan.
Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Your Dad had a long life, a strong marriage and interests and hobbies that made him happy, that’s a life well lived. He was lucky too, to have family who loved him and who did so much to make the last chapter of his life easier.
