Born February 6, 1921, died peacefully at Queensway, Hensall on November 23, 2019, in her 99th year. Beloved wife of the late Grant Ratcliffe (1988). Survived and dearly loved by her children: Linda and the late Dale Frandsen (2004), Dale and Sharon, the late Doug (2015) and Cindy, Barb Ratcliffe, Donna Ratcliffe, Deanna and David Hawley, and Jeff and Diana. Remembered by former in-laws Karen, Harry and Paul. Adored gramma of Christian (Natalie) and Scott (Tannis); Kelly (Olivier), Megan (Stephen), Emily (Jon), and David (Heather); Tammy (Paul); Jessica (Tim) and Vanessa; Bernadette; Toby (Cathy); Katherine (Matt) and Elizabeth (Chris). Missed by many great-grandchildren, numerous extended family and friends. Predeceased by her siblings and in-laws.
All who knew Dorothy will remember her positive attitude, sense of humour and enjoyment of life.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, EXETER on Thursday, December 5th at 2 PM. Reception to follow at R.E. Pooley, Branch 167 (Exeter Legion), 316 William Street, Exeter. Cremation with interment Kirkton Union Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Oh my, so many memories. I remember Dorothy as kind and fun and brave and loving. What a beautiful smile she had. And what a delicious raspberry pie she made. It doesn’t surprise me that she lived to 99.
