It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Bob at Lakeland Regional Hospital, Florida with his loving wife Wanda by his side on Friday, February 10, 2023 at the age of 75. Loving husband of Wanda (Reive) Reynolds for 54 years. Proud father of Vicki and Joe Gower of Exeter. Adored Papa of Ashlynn Gower (Brad) of Hensall and Wyatt Gower of Exeter. Dear brother of Shirley Smith of Hensall. Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Lloyd and Dorothy (Stuart) Reynolds and his brother-in-law Dave Grundy.
Bob was born on April 17, 1947 and grew up on the family farm on Morrison Line. He married Wanda on November 9, 1968 and had their only child Vicki on Nov 14, 1970. Bob worked at the Co-op for 25 years and 10 years at Safety Cab. He was a life member of the Exeter Kinsman Club as well as the Exeter Legion. He was well known for wearing his red suit (Santa) for years and donated all the proceeds to Cystic Fibrosis, a charity near and dear to his heart. Bob was an avid golfer, bowler, and dart and card player. Bob also grew pumpkins for many years, until he was no longer able. Hence his nickname “Pumpkin”. Above all, his love was for his family. He was the biggest supporter and cheerleader for his grandkids.
Cremation has taken place. Public visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 11th at Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, EXETER from 6 – 8 PM with a Legion Service at 5:45 PM. Registration for visitation is appreciated. Due to road construction please enter from the north side of William Street.
Bob’s funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, April 12th at 11 AM. For those unable to attend the funeral in person, a recording of the service will be taken and posted Wednesday afternoon. The family invites you to watch the service at your convenience by visiting www.facebook.com/haskettfh. Interment Exeter Cemetery to be held at a later date.
Donations to Cystic Fibrosis Canada, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
