Peacefully at home on the farm, on Sunday, March 20, 2022 of RR 4 Denfield in his 80th year. Loving spouse of Gary Hinks for over 41 years. Dear brother-in-law of Audrey Rhame, and Sharon Steinmetz. Cherished uncle of Brenda Joseph, Kerry Hale, and Jim Rhame. Predeceased by his parents Percy and Mary (Richardson) Rhame, and his brother Robert Rhame.
Ron was very active in Appaloosa horse clubs in Ontario, taking his horses to show and ride. He was always doing what he loved; farming his dairy cattle earlier in life, then his beef cattle, his horses and from when he was a youngster, his chickens.
A special thanks to Dr. Jeffrey Hepburn, nurse Ryan, and various PSW’s for the care and compassion to Ron.
Keeping with Ron’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, LUCAN on Wednesday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 PM. Registration for the visitation is required, and appreciated. You may register by clicking “Register Now” below. A private interment with family and friends will be held at Medway Cemetery at a later date.
If desired, donations to The Lung Association or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

So sad to hear my cousin passed away. We so enjoyed your visit when you came down from Florida. When we were younger I know we drove you nuts on your dads farm. Loved your moms cookies and the rides on the tractor. I was proud everyday we walk by the farm to school and I would tell everyone that’s my Uncle Percy dairy farm.
Such find memories.
Rest in Peace Ron and be strong Gary.

Im so sorry Gary for the lost of your spouse but also your best friend. Ron was a quiet, proud man he didn’t ask for help but when I offered it at shows he was always appreciative. It was over 20 years ago when we first started competing together with Duchess and Rusty.!!! Ron enjoy your time now riding those big open fields looking over your cows. irene

I’ve lived on the 14th since 1969, always looked in to see the horses when I drove by, what a wonderful life, living in the country and having animals. RIP
