Passed away suddenly at South Huron Hospital on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Sharen (Bloch) Schroeder for 59 years. Cherished father of Victoria Grace and Mike Ducharme, and Kelli Leeanne Consitt. Adored grandfather of Corey and Jessika, Brent and Brittany, Kristofer and Kristen; Mitchell and Alexa; great-grandfather of Everett, Grace, and Gavin. Brother and brother-in-law of Marion Sweeney, Sandra and Lee Desjardine, Kenny Schroeder and Darlene Prouse, and Barry and Janet Bloch. Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and close friends, Shirley and Eugene O’Brien. Predeceased by his parents Ed and Evelyn (Corbett) Schroeder and his brother-in-law George Sweeney.
Ron worked for McKinley Hatchery for over 40 years. In his free time he was an avid drummer who enjoyed playing and listening to country music any chance he got.
Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 49 Goshen Street North, ZURICH on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from 10:30 – 11:30 AM, where the funeral service will be held at 12 noon.

We played ball in the school yard , rode our bikes to the Hillsgreen general store and as teens we partied together and saw each other all the time.
