Passed away peacefully at Queensway Nursing Home on Friday, October 21, 2022 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late Wayne Scott for 63 years. Cherished mother of Nancy and Paul Gridzak, Rick and Miemie Scott, Randy Scott, and Patricia Scott. Adored grandmother of Tracy, Stacey, Bill; Angela; Hailey, Jessica; Bryan and Stephen and great-grandma of 9. Sister and sister-in-law of Betty Pelke, Joe Uniac, Colleen Applebee, Mike Uniac. Helen Garrick, Larry Scott, and Marie Little. Predeceased by Gerry Uniac, Bob Uniac, Pat Uniac, Eleanor Pelke, Kathleen Baker, Lavern Scott, Flora Ann McAllister, and Barb Staples.
Leona was a pillar of her family. She lived in Seaforth and will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.
Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 87 Goderich Street West, Seaforth on Wednesday, October 26th from 6-8 PM. Registration would be appreciated for the visitation. To register, please click “Register Now” below. CWL prayers will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday evening at 5:45 PM. A public funeral Mass will be held the following day on Thursday, October 27th at St. James Catholic Church, 22 Victoria Street, Seaforth at 11 AM with eulogies at 10:45 AM. Father Ronnie Tagnines presiding. Interment Maitland Bank Cemetery.
