Margaret Barclay Sharp (née Robb), passed away peacefully at Seaforth Community Hospital, on Saturday, May 2, 2020. Born in Scotland, in 1919, Marg was blessed with a 100 year journey through the times and seasons of life. Along with her family, Marg immigrated to Saskatchewan and eventually found her way to Ontario, after falling in love with an Air Force Sergeant named Keith Sharp. Marg may have been petite in stature, but she lived life in large loving ways, her smile was big and radiant, and her demeanor vibrant and caring.
Marg will be lovingly remembered by her children Robert and Kerry Sharp of Toronto and Anne Sharp of Harpurhey. Cherishing memories of a much loved grandma are grandchildren Patrick Sharp, Tyler Sharp and Mandy Wojcik, and great grandchildren Matthew, Caitlyn and Chloë Sharp.
Marg was the last surviving member of her family circle. In faith, we trust that Marg’s spirit is reunited in eternal life with her husband Keith (1979), her parents George and Janet (née Barclay) Robb and her 5 brothers and their spouses.
Margaret’s memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 59 Goderich Street West, Seaforth on Friday, September 9, 2022 at 2 PM. Please dress in “business casual” attire and join with the family in celebrating Margaret’s life. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Haskett Funeral Home, 87 Goderich Street West, Seaforth. Honouring Marg’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Private family inurnment will take place in Harpurhey Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Seaforth Community Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Dear Anne and family. I would like to extend our sincere and deepest condolences to you and your family. The Longstaff were long time neighbours of your parents in Harpurhey. Keith was always a quick wit and of course we always had a nice chat after getting the blades sharpened on the lawn mower. Marg was always such a joy to speak too and such a lovely lady. They were part of the original families along that street and will be missed but we will always have our fond memories. Mary and family.

Anne and Rob: Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of your Mom. Although my memories are of a little girl in our Harpurhey neighbourhood, and later biking to get my brother, who lost track of time while helping your Dad, I will always remember your Mom being just so lovely and welcoming. I know she will be missed.

Anne, Robb & Kerry, I am so sorry to hear of Marg’s passing. It seems as though we just celebrated her 100th at the golf course and it was a great party. She was a miniature dynamo! Lots of many memories of riding my horse past her house every day and having the dog scare the heck out of us. Also Dad remembers visits to Keith to get the mowers sharpened and Marg always had a welcoming smile. My sincere sympathy to you all and to Sally’s family in London too.
