Peacefully at the Queensway Nursing Home, Hensall on May 25, 2022 of Kitchener at the age of 101. Dear husband of Audrey (Sillick) for 69 years. Cherished father of Dale Polzin (Tom), and Stephen Simpson (Susan). Loving grandpa of Lisa (Patrick) and Laura (Michael); Jason (Theresa), Luke (Lauren) and Neil (Lindsey) and great grandpa of Liam; Charlotte and Alexander; Cassandra and Wyatt; Aidan, Cole, and Grayson. Dear brother of Ross Simpson, and Mary Jane Simpson, and brother -in-law of Jean Simpson. Predeceased by parents Violet Matilda “Tillie” (Hertfelder) and Charles Tindall, sisters Evelyn Urbach (Hugh), Ruth Tease (Bob), Violet Simpson, infant sister Verna, brother Charles Simpson, and sister-in-law Ruth Simpson.
Bill enlisted in #10 Basic Training Centre in Kitchener 1940 and served in World War 2 with #4 Canadian General Hospital in England from 1942-1945. He was a life long member of the Historic St. Paul’s Church. Bill will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
