Dear Sheila Jerry and Terry . So sorry to hear of your huge loss of your mom. We all go back along way and remember you mom from childhood . Joyce was always smiling , joking and a real go getter! Always would ask mom how she was doing she kind kept us informed. Did run into her I believe at rodeo and she was always the same joking and smiling and always talking about Sheila , Terry and Jerry and his horses. She always loved horses and wanted to be close to the action. My memory of Dad and her going to her barn to always show him how her horses were doing. well one Halloween my dad decided to go to barn farm first and put Spots all over her horses quarters to turn her into the Appalossa she always wanted ! So as usual when dad arrived she had to go to barn to show him the horses . her eyes went like saucers to find her plain bay horse turned into an Appalossa . Condolences to all your families and God Bless Joyce for a life well lived ????????. Love Ann and Steve

We worked together and later on we were neighbors and many and evening she would come over and her myself and my husband would have tons of laughs. Its funny I was going through pictures the other day and found one of your mom. Losing a loved one is hard but think of all the memories you have and smile as I know Joyce will be watching

Saddened to hear about your mom. She was beautiful and full of energy and positivity. She always had a wisecrack, a smile, and a kind word…and usually in that order. She lived life. She will always be a part of my fond childhood memories.

Jerry, Penny, Sheila, Michael, Terry and Grandkids:
My deepest sympathy to all of you. She has been in my thoughts and prayers since I heard of her illness and coming to Queensway . We were able to share some good stories, look at pictures and talk about you kids. She was so elated the day Terry walked in, and the day Paul Smale and others took her out to Suntastic. Surprises she didn’t expect.
She had a heart of gold with a sense of humour and wit to go along with it. She never complained and kept all her problems to herself.
We had so many good childhood memories playing together. And we hung out alot during the horsey days, went to dances and played a lot of 6-handed euchre with Ken & Helen at your house.
Your Mom will always be dear to my heart, always have a smile, and always be the same beautiful lady she always was. We are all going to miss her dearly.

to Joyce’s family….I’ll always remember your mom and grandma as a very loving person who just loved to tease me and joke…we had many laughs together over the many, many years that I’ve known Joyce at work, in the grocery store, or on the street…It was like no one was around to see the way we acted up and carried on…I will miss meeting her and our weekly/monthly gossip catch-ups….. Wishing you the blessing of memories and the comfort of love each time you remember…hugs to all

Dear Jerry, Terry, Sheila and Families:
It is with a saddened heart that I am sending my sincerest sympathy to all of you on the loss of your dear Mother and Grandmother, Joyce. She was a remarkable woman who liked to joke around and have lots of fun. She was a very hard-working lady who raised a wonderful family whom she was so proud of and loved dearly.
I have so many childhood memories of the earlier years of horse shows, trail rides, rodeos and then the standard bred racing with our Parsons family, along with the Preszcator family – those were the good old days – so much fun and good times.
My husband and I enjoyed when Joyce would drop by our home in Crediton to pick up her eggs (or cackell berries) as she would call them. She was always happy and enjoyed the stories and jokes we shared. We certainly missed her when she moved away from our community. I would meet up with her occasionally in Exeter and she would always take a few minutes to talk and ask how our whole family was doing.
It is always hard to see our once lively parent age, become unhealthy and eventually leave this world behind. As I look at her picture on the Haskett’s Obituary Page – I immediately had tears as I remember Joyce for the one-of-a-kind special person that she was. Heaven has gained an Angel – Rest In Peace “Joyce” you are free from the suffering.
May your cherished memories put smiles on your faces and comfort you through these difficult days ahead.
I am truly sorry for your great loss, but please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
P.S. Thank you Gerry for attending my Dad’s “Celebration of Life” – your presence meant so much to our family.
Hugs to All !!
