Just came across this today. I knew Gerald, Pauline and the children in Blind River Ontario in the early 1960’s. I actually babysat for them often. Pauline sent me a note in 1977 and then we lost track of each other. This is heartbreaking news that they are both passed. My love to the 6 children.

I first met Gerry (and Pauline) at Bosanquet Central School. Such great people. Gerry was always so kind, so ready to help, such a good work ethic, and such a good friend to the students and staff alike. We shared some great laughs…there is one story in particular that I will remember when…well, let’s just say it wasn’t a good day for the principal at the time or a particular student…and Gerry met me at the door with a wink and a grin and a cautionary tale ! He gave great hugs. Always had a soft spot for him…and I think it was mutual. To Marj, and Gerry’s family – may God’s peace and grace surround you with hope today and always.

One of the worlds best, Gerald had such a wonderful big hug and kisses! Loved that man very, very much! So extremely happy that we were back from our trip and spent Sunday afternoon with him, and he seemed so good after just having surgery. God has another Angel in his house!
