Peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer Elaine passed at Jessica’s House, Exeter with her family by her side on February 9, 2021 at the age of 76. Survived by her loving husband Don Stebbins for 54 years. Cherished mother of Bill Stebbins, and Diane Stebbins. Beloved sister and sister-in-law of Jean Amos, Shirley and Lorne MacGregor, Audrey McAdam, and Jean Henderson. Elaine will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Archie and Viola Kennedy, in-laws Everett and Mae Stebbins, brothers and sisters-in law Allen Amos, June and Orval Romphf, Shirley and Charlie Acres, and Chuck Henderson.
Elaine had a true love to take care of others during her time working at Queensway Nursing Home for over 45 years. She also volunteered at the South Huron Hospital for VON for 22 years. Elaine will be greatly missed by her family, friends and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
A private memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at 11AM. Though the memorial service is private, the family invites you to join with them from the comfort of your own home. Cremation with interment Nairn Cemetery and a celebration of Elaine’s Life will be held at a later date when family and friends can gather to share their memories.
