Aunt Leah, Uncle Frank, Ann & Paul,
I am sorry I could not make the trip back to Canada to express our sincere condolences in person. Brian will be missed. Words are sometimes hard to find at times like these, so I will just leave this:
” What God has planned for people who love Him is more than the eyes have seen or the ears have heard. It has never even entered our minds”. 1 Corinthians 2:9
May God provide you comfort and peace during this very difficult time.

Sending our love to you all on this sad occasion. Brian always came to see us and was always quietly cheerful, smiling and so ready to chat and spend time with us when we would visit from Australia. How proud of him was his Dad Frank who on one trip drove us to see the Mechanics workshop where Brian worked.
Brian will be missed dearly but will be welcomed ‘home’ by those gone before him.

I knew Brian from a boy to a man, no one I ever new with a hearing handicap could ever have accomplished what Brian did. I always and forever will admire him for his determination, bravery, and will to never give up on any project he ever wanted to succeed in. He sure was one of a kind, will never be forgotten by me.

To the Vanneste family:
May you be comforted by knowing how Brian’s gentleness impacted us. Our son Luke, who worked at Vannsons Farms on a co-op workterm in high school, commented that Brian is one of the nicest people he has ever met. Brian always had a smile for me when I was calling on the farm. I believe his gentle soul will be welcomed by Jesus in heaven.

Unfortunately, I never got to know Brian…but have heard much about him from Cesar and Ellen and their family. And it’s hard not to notice the sincere emotions of the others who have posted their thoughts here.
I have however met Frank and Lea many times over the years and my heart goes out to them now on the loss of their son…there is no greater sorrow. I prayed for Brian ( and Frank) at Mass this morning and only wish I was able to attend Brian’s Funeral Mass at Mount Carmel.
Brian is now surrounded by the splendour of Heaven and in the presence of his Creator. May God comfort his family and his friends as they bid him farewell and God speed.
