I wanted to pass on my condolences to all of the McGuffin clan, as I will be unable to attend Harold’s funeral on Saturday. He was always such a kind, funny and warmhearted person. I have fond memories of times growing up at the McGuffin picnic spent with Harold and the rest of the extended family. With sympathy, Aimee, Craig and Ava Lynn Ernst

Please accept my sincere sympathy in Harold’s passing. He was a great man to know and we always had a chat every time he came into the mill. He certainly lived to a great old age–90.

Harold was a wonderful neighbor to have and we feel privledged to have know him. He was always cheerful and inviting. Everytime we would drop in for a vist he was warm and welcoming..and of course conversation would some how end up being about his horses..which we loved. He and his gentle nature will be forever missed.. that warm smile and the twinkle in his eye. God Bless him and his family..We feel we were lucky to have spent the time we did with him. He will be missed !
Deep Regards

Our deepest condolences on the death of Harold. Richard and the children and I have wonderfully fond memories of the times Harold took the Zion Sunday School and all the parents on some wonderful horse drawn sleigh rides. What a kind man! He always had a great sense of humour and a big smile for everyone! — Sheila Macgregor

I have known Harold since we moved to Zion in 1934. He and Eldon Perkin and my brother Max made a triip together to Alberta and B.C. in 1949 by car. I moved to Alberta in 1950 and during the last 5 or 6 years when I visited Ontario Harold, Lorne Ardiel and I had lunch together. I am so glad that he reached such a good age of 90. Harold was an inspiration to me and to many others.
