I knew Mike in high school and would occasionally see him loitering and gawking on the street corner in Wingham. I was sad to hear of him meeting his maker, but I trust he’ll be sitting next to Jesus telling him much he liked to listen to the Cure while speeding down the B-line scarfing down KFC. Til next time my slow friend, cheers matey.

We wanted to offer our sincere condolences to the Walker family on Michael’s passing. For many years, Michael was our neighbour on Huron Street, and we really valued his friendship, and our common faith in Christ. We enjoyed our times together at Emmanuel Baptist, and look forward to seeing him again in heaven. May God give you comfort in these days knowing that Michael is with his Lord.

On behalf of the whole Walker family I want to offer our condolences to you. Michael was a very loving and gentle man. We had the privilege to live with and walk with him for close to 10 years and he was always kind and loving. He will be deeply missed and we rejoice that he is now with his Saviour and is no longer suffering.

Dear Walker Family,
I would like to express my deep sympathy and condolences to you. I was saddened to hear of Michael’s passing. I served for many years as a pastor at the church Michael attended and got to know him well during that time. Even after I concluded my ministry there we would occasionally meet for coffee in town, or just chat on the sidewalk. Michael had a very kind and considerate spirit. He was quick to encourage and kind in paying compliments. He always treated me as a friend, and I counted him as one also.
Michael and I had many good conversations about his faith, and despite the challenges he experienced through life, he found great comfort and strength from the trust he had placed in Jesus Christ. His future hope for life in the Lord’s presence was something he expressed to me often. I know that his loss leave a hole in your family, but my prayer will be that you will find comfort in the promise made by Jesus to those who, like Michael, place their trust in him.
Jesus said: “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You trust in God; trust also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am…I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:1-6)
