Peacefully at Parkwood Institute, London, on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 of Lucan, formerly of Oshawa. Beloved husband of the late Sharon (Colborne) Weidmark. Proud father of Michelle and Scott Cummings of Ilderton, Steven Weidmark of Lucan, and Brad and Andrea Weidmark of Sherwood Park Alberta. Adored Poppa of Tyla, MacKenzie, Payten, Drew, Mya, and Victoria and great-poppa of Connor. Dear brother of Nada, and Kathy both of Oshawa. Brother-in-law of Carolyn and Doug Ripley. Predeceased by brothers Paul, Roy, and Mark.
Mike worked at General Motors for over 25 years. He was an avid hockey player and sports fan. The family would like to thank the staff on the Palliative Care Unit for their compassion and excellent care. A special thank you to Mike’s friends in Lucan for being such great supports to him during his time in Lucan.
Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, LUCAN on Monday evening from 6 – 8 PM. A graveside service will be held at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, 355 Taunton Road East, Whitby, on Tuesday, November 19th at 2 PM.
Donations to Parkwood Institute – Palliative Care Unit, or Humane Society of London- Middlesex would be appreciated by the family.
