Peacefully at University Hospital on Tuesday February 16th, 2010, of Ilderton in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Ruth (Agur) for 61 years. Loving father of Tracy and John Newman of Ilderton, John Sippel and Barb Takacs of London. Cherished grandfather of Cody, Danielle and Austin. Dear brother of Blanche Drew of Florida , Donna and Don Worth of Orillia and predeceased by sister Jean Tourand of Reno Nevada (2009). Survived by many nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by his long time friend Bill Burdock and all of his lunch buddies. Many thanks to the 4th floor nursing staff at LHSC University Campus who were so caring. Cremation has taken place.
Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan, one hour prior to the memorial service which will be held on Friday, February 19, 2010 at 10:30 AM with Father Brad Dunbar officiating.
Donations to the London Health Sciences Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family

I only met Wes through Kinsmen. I saw him at a couple of conventions and he attended our Curling interclub at Wallaceburg several times. He was a nice guy with a great sense of humourand it was a pleasure knowing him. If I recall correctly he played the piano quite well and loved to entertain. My condolences go out to the family and friends at this time.
