What a beautiful person Marian was !
I remember her coming to Lucan United Church with Bob as newly-weds. I did not know her well then, but went to Lucan High school at the same time as Bob and was thankful for the many rides he offered us as we walked to school up Saintsbury Line.
Then she became my neighbour in Lucan.and I was lucky to have a hairdresser close by with nice children to play with our children. And so it remains as family neighbours. I can even claim her as a relative.

Nick and I were very sorry to read of Marian’s passing. We will always remember her friendliness when we first arrived in Canada in the early 70’s. We had many interesting conversations whenever I went to her for a hair cut. Marian was always so nice. Your Dad and I, and Bob and Marian, shared a wedding day – Sept. 8, 1956 , and a wedding hall! Sincere and heartfelt sympathy to her family.”

I would like to offer my sympathy to the family of Marion White from her cousin Shirley Morris. I looked up to Marion as a big sister as we grew up on neighbouring farms on the First Concession of Nissouri Township. As young girls, we spent time together walking to the little one room schoolhouse beside the church at the corner of Marion’s family farm, sleeping over and playing on the family farms, looking for baby kittens in the barn, and enjoying wagon rides to the river for family picnics.
Marion had her share of life challenges, but she remained a hardworking strong woman throughout her life. We want the family to know we are thinking of them during this hard time. All of our love. Stay safe.

As I drove over to Lucan today and past the old Lewis farm on the on the 16th and a cloud of memories came to mind from skating, to playing in the sand pile, salmon sandwiches and pickles. The 6 of us roaring around while Mom and Dad and Marion and Bob would try to visit. Then to the memories in Lucan of the bon fires and special hair cuts. And as another chapter in Marion life unfolded at the White’s residence, we the had so many fun times. I remember in the basement at the farm we had Supertramp playing full blast and Marion coming to the top of the stairs and yelling “kids turn it down”. She had a love of life, love to share in 4-H, church and the community. She will always have a special spot in our heart , she Indured so many obsitcates and always pushed through with a smile. I know Darrell shares many warm memories of her when the McCombs and Whites got together. Thinking of you Lorraine, Wayne and Gayle/ HUGS/ miss you! Take care. Penny and Darrell

When I heard the news of your Mom’s passing, I was heavy hearted with grief.
I sat back for a moment and recalled recents events with your family as follows:
Lorainne, at the DCT Christmas Party, when you went home with my door prize, yes I would give anything to comfort you at this time.
Wayne, the phone call about 10 days ago where we were discussing the present virus situation and we ended with a laugh, that your mother and I thought we had this all solved, not knowing it would be our last conversation, I will hold this forever in my heart.
Gayle, a week ago you sent a picture of you with a decorated facial mask, which made me laugh at a time when I needed it most, now we mourn, but we will laugh again as that is what your mother would want.
In closing its the memories that we cherish, and I will always cherish these as mentioned.
My sincere and heartfelt sympathy to all the family.
