Suddenly as the result of an accident on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 of RR 1 Kirkton in his 87th year. Loving husband of Gertrude (Packham) for over 59 years. Proud father of Steve Willis and Karen Greaves of Bayfield, Ed and Karen Willis of Exeter, Patti Willis-Leake and Rob Leake of Exeter, Diane Willis and Rebecca Stevens of London, and Carol Willis of London. Dear grandfather of Jake, Sean, and Katie; Nicole, and Brandan; and Ben. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Mary Wagler of Stratford, Ida Anne Harris of St. Marys, Eleanor Ball of Lakeside, Jane and Wallace Miller of Embro, and Dave and Nancy Packham of Stratford. Predeceased by his parents James and Myrtle Willis, sister and brother-in-law Leola and Mike Freeman, and brothers-in-law Dan Wagler, Bob Harris, and Stuart Ball.
Marwood enjoyed 60 years of both a family and farming partnership with his wife Gertrude. He embodied a driven can-do attitude that was evident in his day to day life, whether it was farming, spending time with his family, hockey, or even playing cards.
Visitation will be held at the Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, EXETER on Monday evening from 5-8 PM, where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 17th at 11 AM with Bob Heywood officiating. Interment Exeter Cemetery.

Harold & Aileen Burgin
It was with great shock and dismay we learned of Marwood’s passing. Even though Harold was five years younger, they both played together on the same hockey team and on the same line. They were playing together in St. Marys when Marwood broke his jaw. There were many cold car rides to hockey games in Mitchell and St. Marys. That changed when the Willis family purchased a brand new two-toned blue 1952 or maybe 1953 Plymouth with a heater! What a treat that was. We will always remember Marwood’s smile and his generous brotherly treatment of the little Burgin boy.
