Hello Young family,
Please accept my heartfelt sympathies in the loss of your mother. It has been many years since I have seen her, but I recall with fondness the kindness shown to me by both her and your father…it was an important part of my experience in Toronto/Oakville.
I hope you find comfort in the many wonderful memories I’m sure you all share.
Kind regards,
Brian Shannon

I am so saddened to hear of the passing of Dorothy.
Our family was so very fortunate to know and be part of both Cy and Dorothy’s lives. They was so generous to allow us to have our son Brian live with them while Brian was a Page in the Legislature. This world was a much better place because of their presence, and now the skies will be much brighter with another wonderful star. My deepest sympathy go to you Wendy and all your family at this very sad time. You will always be a special person to me. Always take care of each other.
Love always Laura Shannon. xo

It has been many, many years since I seen Aunt Dot, however I still recall the visits to Espanola with Uncle Clayt and the kids, plus some of the reunions in Tobermory. Our thoughts and prayers are with you now.

I will remember Dorothy as a kind, gentle & tolerant soul. I appreciated that she was always interested and involved in available programs and added to them by her presence. She would offer well thought out, intelligent comments at Resident Council. For a woman who had borne such losses in her life she carried no bitterness, only peace. She will be missed – Carol Gascho
